Who We Are
Since 1971. Pack 447 is a parent-run, family-focused Cub Scout pack based at John Gomes Elementary School in Fremont, CA, and chartered by Mission for Sports. For over 50 years, we've been welcoming Fremont families into Scouting — and we're open to scouts from any school, not just Gomes.
How We're Organized
How We're Organized
Pack Meetings — once a month on 3rd thursday of the month, the whole pack gathers for ceremonies, games, and recognition at Gomes Elementary.
Den Meetings — smaller groups (5–10 scouts, organized by grade) meet regularly for hands-on adventures and requirements.

Pack 447 is proudly chartered by Mission for Sports, whose mission is to promote youth wellbeing through outdoor experience — the same spirit that drives everything we do in Cub Scouts. They believe time outdoors reduces stress, builds resilience and grit, and teaches conservation and stewardship of natural resources. Learn more at missionforsports.org.
Our Pack is part of the Golden Gate Area Council, serving Fremont, Newark, and Union City.

Fun detail: Pinewood Derby gets a new theme each year (2025's was Space Vehicles), and the Treasure Hunt is a scavenger hunt with clues tied to real Gomes Elementary landmarks.
